Care Guide
Care & Keeping Guide
Thoughtfully designed and crafted with love — our hope is for your Frocklyn piece to be treasured not just for a season, but for a lifetime; a beautiful thing worthy of being kept, remembered, and cherished.
Our dresses are crafted primarily from premium satin, with select styles featuring delicate net, organza, and tulle layers. To preserve the beauty and longevity of your Frocklyn piece, we recommend dry cleaning only. Please do not machine wash or hand wash, as this may damage the fabric structure and all hand-finished embellishments.
Straight out of the box, hang your dress in its own space so any creases or folds can fall naturally out of the fabric. To restore the skirt, fluff it layer by layer and give it a good shake for maximum volume and silhouette.
All garments can be lightly steamed, though we recommend a moderate temperature and a safe distance of at least 15 cm between the garment and the steamer. Dresses with embellishments — beading, appliqué, or hand-stitched detail — should never be steamed directly on the embellishment, as this could cause damage.
A few extra things to know
Embellishments
Dresses with beading, sequins, or hand-stitched appliqué should never be exposed to a steamer or iron directly. High heat can melt or tarnish delicate details.
Satin & Organza
Duchess satin and organza layers are delicate. Avoid wringing or twisting. After dry cleaning, hang immediately and allow the garment to air fully before storing.
Long-Term Storage
For seasonal storage, keep your dress in a breathable garment bag. Avoid plastic covers which can trap moisture. Store away from light to preserve colour and fabric integrity.
